3D modeling is the best way for architects or designers to convey to their clients exactly what it is they have created. From there desired changes can be made virtually, thus eliminating time wasting in physical meetings. Once a general design is agreed upon it can then go to a rendering program to get even more detailed (please check out the renderings). From the main file 3D detailing in color can be used to more effectively communicate details in sections of the project, rather than separate details spread over several pages, to Building department officials as well as contractors and the workers who actually have to built it. 3D perspectives of large areas are more user friendly for all by showing the interconnections of several elements plainly and simply, as compared to the standard practice of separate 2D sections.
Because the small version of the whole project was virtually built on the computer (foundation, framing, hardware, etc.) it becomes easy to estimate the cost and come up with a close bid.
